About the Role
Cognition is building Devin, the world's first AI software engineer, and we're looking for a Senior AI Agent Engineer to help push the boundaries of what AI agents can do.
You will design and build agentic systems that can reason, plan, and execute complex multi-step tasks autonomously. This involves working on tool use, code generation, debugging capabilities, and long-horizon planning.
This role is at the absolute frontier of AI agent development. You will help define what the next generation of AI-powered software development looks like.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building agentic AI systems
- Strong Python and TypeScript skills
- Deep understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations
- Experience with prompt engineering and tool-use patterns
- Experience with code generation and program synthesis is a plus
