About the Role

Waymo is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to work on perception systems for our autonomous vehicles. You will develop and optimize 3D object detection, tracking, and scene understanding models that operate in real time. Your work will directly impact the safety and capability of our self-driving fleet. You will work with lidar, camera, and radar data to build perception models that handle complex real-world driving scenarios. This role requires strong fundamentals in computer vision, deep learning, and real-time systems. You will work alongside a world-class team pushing the boundaries of autonomous driving.

Requirements

- 5+ years of computer vision experience - Strong proficiency in Python and C++ - Experience with 3D perception (object detection, tracking, segmentation) - Knowledge of sensor fusion techniques - Experience deploying models on edge devices - MS/PhD in Computer Vision, Robotics, or related field
