ML Research Engineer, Efficient Models

Aleph Alpha is looking for an ML Research Engineer to work on efficient foundation models for European enterprises. You will develop techniques for model compression, efficient inference, and privacy-preserving AI that meets European data sovereignty requirements. This role combines ML research with practical engineering, building models that are both capable and efficient enough for enterprise deployment in regulated industries. The ideal candidate has experience with model optimization and an understanding of European AI regulations.

- 3+ years of ML engineering experience - Experience with model optimization and efficiency - Strong Python and PyTorch skills - Understanding of quantization, pruning, and distillation - Familiarity with EU AI Act and data sovereignty - MS/PhD in ML/CS preferred - EU work authorization required
