Senior ML Engineer, Code Intelligence

Cursor is building the future of AI-assisted software development and we're looking for a Senior ML Engineer to work on our code intelligence systems. You will develop models and systems for code completion, automated editing, and codebase understanding. This role involves building the ML systems that power Cursor's core features. You will work on retrieval systems for code context, fine-tuning models for code tasks, and building evaluation frameworks for code generation quality. The ideal candidate has experience with code ML, developer tools, and a passion for developer productivity.

- 5+ years of ML engineering experience - Experience with code generation or program synthesis - Strong Python and TypeScript skills - Experience with LLM fine-tuning and evaluation - Understanding of RAG for code - Developer tool building experience is a plus
