This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.</em></p></div><div>&nbsp;</div> <h2>About the role</h2> <div> <p>The Onboard Architecture Team is responsible for full autonomy stack onboard architecture—ensuring every component works cohesively, reliably, and safely. Our team is looking for a Robotics Engineer to bring up new operational modes that expand the reach of our autonomy platform. You’ll combine deep technical problem solving with broad system understanding, testing end-to-end driving features and collaborating with perception, planning, controls, and infrastructure teams to develop and deploy new capabilities.</p> <h2>At Applied Intuition, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Design and develop software across the autonomy stack, including perception, localization, planning, controls, and system integration.</li> <li>Generalize and extend the autonomy stack to support new Operational Design Domains (ODDs), including new vehicle platforms, geographies, and operating environments.</li> <li>Identify technical gaps, dependencies, and risks associated with expanding the stack, and proactively drive solutions to address them.</li> <li>Develop and implement bridging solutions and system adaptations required to launch the autonomy stack in new operating modes.</li> <li>Expand and update simulation and offboard testing frameworks to ensure robust validation of new ODD capabilities prior to deployment.</li> </ul> </div> <h2>We're looking for someone who has:</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.</li> <li>2+ years of experience in shipping complex software in C++11 and above.</li> <li>Experience working on autonomous vehicles or large-scale robotics systems.</li> <li>Experience developing onboard software for robotics or embedded platforms.</li> <li>Experience shipping production level code.</li> </ul> <h2>Nice to have:</h2> <ul> <li>A MSc or PhD in computer science or applied mathematics with coursework or research experience in robotics.</li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.</p> <p>Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials &amp; certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.</p> <p>Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located.
