We are seeking a&nbsp;visionary Design Leader to lead the strategy that will define the future of&nbsp;our product.</p> <h4>The Role</h4> <p>As a leader, you will use your UX expertise to innovate and push the&nbsp;bounds of what the Gemini App can be for our customers. Your passion&nbsp;for design and obsession with craft and quality are infectious, and your&nbsp;creative perspective is informed by a deep awareness of cultural,&nbsp;aesthetic, and artistic trends.&nbsp;The Growth &amp; Discovery Lead is responsible for the "First Mile" of the&nbsp;user journey. Your mission is to solve the "blank page" problem—ensuring&nbsp;that every user who downloads the Gemini app immediately discovers&nbsp;its value and integrates it into their daily life through intuitive onboarding&nbsp;and feature education.</p> <p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Onboarding Excellence: Own the end-to-end mobile&nbsp;onboarding flow. You will ruthlessly eliminate friction, ensuring&nbsp;users reach their first "Aha!" moment within seconds of<br>installation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Discovery Engine Design: Create contextual UI "hooks" and&nbsp;educational prompts that teach users how to harness Gemini’s&nbsp;unique mobile features, such as "Live" voice and camera-based&nbsp;reasoning.</p> </li> <li> <p>Data-Informed Iteration: Partner with Growth Marketing to run&nbsp;high-velocity A/B tests on app entry points, home-screen&nbsp;widgets, and subscription conversions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Viral Growth Loops: Design product-led growth mechanisms&nbsp;that make Gemini content easily shareable, driving organic&nbsp;adoption and network effects.</p> </li> </ul> <h4><strong>About You</strong></h4> <p><strong>In order to set you up for success, &nbsp;we look for the following skills and experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum: 15+ years of experience in User Experience / Design,&nbsp;with experience establishing UX best practices for emerging&nbsp;technologies or ambiguous problem spaces.</li> <li>10+ years in Product Design with a specialized focus on Growth,&nbsp;PLG, or User Acquisition.</li> <li>Mastery of behavioral psychology and using data to inform&nbsp;high-craft design decisions.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and&nbsp;drive product strategy.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred background includes one or any combination of the following:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master's degree or Ph.D. in a design-related field.</li> <li>Experience with AI/ML and agentic technologies; Depth and&nbsp;breadth of knowledge that enables ideation and development of&nbsp;creative solutions.</li> </ul> <p>Note: In the event your application is successful and an offer of employment is made to you, any offer of employment will be conditional on the results of a background check, performed by a third party acting on our behalf.
