<h3><strong>About the team</strong></h3> <p>The EMEA Startup team is a highly consultative sales team that is responsible for the growth and retention of Stripe’s largest and fastest growing Startup customers.&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <p>As a Sales Manager for Startups - Early Growers at Stripe, you will be crucial in driving Stripe's expansion by fostering growth among our existing high potential top startups.</p> <p>&nbsp;Your role involves leading and coaching a team of high-performing Account Executives, empowering them to achieve ambitious targets. You will also directly engage with users. We seek an individual eager to collaborate with a top-tier team to navigate intricate organizations, identify new opportunities to leverage payments for competitive advantage, and innovate our joint go-to-market strategies.</p> <p>You will manage a team of Startup AEs, focusing on supporting the growth of the top Startup users in EMEA. This team will partner with high-potential startups in our install base. Your goal is to provide hands-on business consultancy, optimize Stripe integrations, and uncover commercial upsell opportunities for Stripe.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Recruit, develop and lead a team of sales professionals, with a particular focus on the Funded&nbsp; Startup segment across EMEA</li> <li>Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics</li> <li>Prioritise top startup users and be accountable for increasing existing revenue at high rates of growth&nbsp;</li> <li>Driving deal strategy and execution including strong pipeline development, opportunity management, and forecasting</li> <li>Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle</li> <li>Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to C-level</li> <li>Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for Stripe</li> <li>Collaborating closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Product/Connect, Sales Ops, S&amp;O, Marketing, GTM Partnerships, and others</li> <li>Participate in industry events to help support positive market awareness</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>8+ years of relevant sales experience - particularly managing existing business accounts</li> <li>Experience consistently forecasting and managing a high growth business for multiple quarters</li> <li>Thrives in settings with a high level of autonomy to create strategy, direction, and structure</li> <li>Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team</li> <li>Ability to build executive relationships with customers and ecosystem partners</li> <li>Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry or business relevant terms</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience with and knowledge of the EMEA Startups ecosystem</li> </ul>
