They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.</span></p></div><h3 data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">About the Role</span></h3> <p>The Senior Litigation Counsel will litigate directly on behalf of the company, including drafting briefs and taking depositions, provide strategic legal advice, and represent X in disputes across various domains, including commercial litigation matters and class action lawsuits. Ideally office-based, this role requires a seasoned attorney with deep litigation experience, exceptional judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.</p> <h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Responsibilities</span></h3> <ul> <li>Litigate directly throughout all phases of litigation, including case strategy, motions, document discovery, depositions, trials, and appeals, in state and federal courts.</li> <li>Provide counsel on litigation risks, advising internal stakeholders on legal strategy, settlements, and dispute resolution.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, policy, and product, to address legal issues impacting X’s platform and operations.</li> <li>Oversee and coordinate with external counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal representation.</li> <li>Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, settlement agreements, and contracts.</li> <li>Stay abreast of evolving legal and regulatory landscapes, particularly in technology, privacy, and free speech, to proactively mitigate risks.</li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Required Qualifications</span></h3> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York, California, or Texas State Bar (in good standing).</li> <li>Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience in high-stakes matters.</li> <li>Proven track record of winning cases</li> <li>Exceptional brief-writing and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Annual Salary Range</span></h3> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">$225,000 - $285,000 USD</span></p> <h3><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Benefits</span></h3> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package at xAI, which also includes equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.</span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>xAI is an equal opportunity employer.
