Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.</em></p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Shape how AI-powered capabilities show up across complex financial workflows</li> <li>Translate emerging technical capabilities into intuitive, human-centered experiences</li> <li>Design systems that balance automation, transparency, and user control</li> <li>Simplify technical and regulatory complexity into understandable workflows</li> <li>Anticipate edge cases, failure states, and operational risks in high-stakes domains</li> <li>Create scalable interaction patterns and escalation models for AI-assisted experiences</li> <li>Prototype new interaction models and design detailed, high-quality product experiences</li> <li>Partner closely with engineering, product, research, and data teams to ship thoughtful outcomes</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we're looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>6+ years of experience leading complex, end-to-end product design initiatives</li> <li>Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy shaping strategy and direction, not just executing requirements</li> <li>Think in systems and workflows, not just individual screens</li> <li>Have experience designing fintech, AI-powered, data-heavy, or workflow-driven products</li> <li>Balance automation with transparency, trust, and user understanding</li> <li>Prototype fluidly to explore both interaction logic and product craft</li> <li>Care deeply about quality, correctness, and usability in high-stakes domains</li> <li>Bring strong product judgment, communication skills, and ownership to your work</li> </ul> <p>The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits. Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry.
