We develop web interfaces, infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and internal tools that connect Stripe with manufacturers, logistics providers, repair centers, and Terminal users around the world.</p> <p>Our mission is to make complex physical-device operations simple and scalable. We build secure, reliable systems that help users manage orders and devices while supporting Stripe’s day-to-day logistics operations.</p> <h2>What you’ll do:</h2> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Scope, design, build, and maintain large-scale systems that support the end-to-end lifecycle of Stripe Terminal devices, including ordering, fulfillment, returns, warranties, and repairs.</li> <li>Develop APIs, integrations, and internal tools that connect Stripe with manufacturers, logistics providers, repair centers, and other partners.</li> <li>Build intuitive web experiences that help Terminal users and internal teams order devices, manage orders, and handle returns and repairs.</li> <li>Improve the efficiency and scalability of logistics operations by identifying patterns and simplifying complex workflows.</li> <li>Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to bring new capabilities to Terminal users.</li> </ul> <h2>Who you are</h2> <p>We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</p> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>A strong technical background, including 2-5 years of professional software development experience</li> <li>Familiarity with the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.</li> <li>Empathy, strong communication skills and effective communication with stakeholders</li> <li>A learning mindset, regardless of level or experience</li> <li>The ability to drive clear next steps when encountering ambiguous spaces without clear lines of ownership</li> <li>High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude to help others raise the bar</li> <li>An ability to think creatively and holistically about reducing risk in a complex environment</li> </ul>
