This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.</em></p></div><h2>About the role</h2> <div> </div> <h2>At Applied Intuition, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and productionize scalable internal tools and AI workflows that support system engineering and validation for autonomous vehicle programs.</li> <li>Integrate data across requirements management, modeling, and validation tools to provide end-to-end traceability from system requirements to test results.</li> <li>Build backend services and APIs to unify distributed engineering artifacts into a cohesive, reliable platform.</li> <li>Develop dashboards and KPIs to measure requirement coverage, trace completeness, and validation progress.</li> <li>Own and evolve the core traceability data model, enabling bidirectional traceability, versioning, baselining, and change impact analysis.</li> <li>Refactor internal prototypes into production-grade, certifiable systems with strong reliability, access control, and auditability.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with systems engineering, safety, and autonomy teams to ensure tooling supports compliance and safety case development.</li> <li>Scale internal tooling to support production programs and future regulatory needs</li> </ul> <h2>We're looking for someone who has:</h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.</li> <li>2+ years of professional experience in backend software development, internal tooling, or platform engineering.</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with Java or C/C++.</li> <li>Experience designing and building REST or GraphQL APIs.</li> <li>Experience with data modeling, schema design, and integrating systems via APIs.</li> <li>Experience building scalable backend services and working with CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Strong systems thinking and the ability to work across complex, cross-functional technical domains.</li> </ul> <h2>Nice to have:</h2> <ul> <li>Experience with requirements management or system modeling tools.</li> <li>Experience building dashboards, metrics frameworks, or traceability platforms.</li> <li>Familiarity with configuration management or compliance-driven environments.</li> <li>Exposure to safety-critical or regulated systems.</li> <li>Experience in a startup or fast-paced engineering environment.</li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.</p> <p>Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position.
