What you'll do:
Execute crane operations and rigging for loading and unloading large equipment, machinery, and support assets
Plan and support safe movement of oversized freight, including flatbed loading, securement, and transport readiness
Coordinate with internal logistics teams and external carriers to execute shipments on schedule
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to support warehouse and yard operations
Develop and follow load plans, rigging plans, and handling procedures for sensitive and high-value equipment
Prepare and verify shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and load manifests
Maintain staging areas, ensure proper asset tracking, and support overall warehouse organization
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards during all lifting and transport operations
Support on-site movement of equipment using company vehicles and ground handling equipment as needed
Required qualifications:
5+ years of experience in crane operations, rigging, or heavy equipment handling
Experience loading and transporting oversized freight (flatbeds, specialized trailers, etc.)
Strong understanding of load securement and transport safety requirements
Experience with shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, manifests)
Forklift and general material handling equipment experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with tight timelines
Preferred qualifications:
Active crane operator and/or rigging certifications
Experience supporting logistics or shipping/receiving operations
Familiarity with oversized load permitting and route planning
Experience working with high-value or sensitive equipment (defense, aerospace, or similar)
Experience coordinating with freight carriers or logistics providers
What success looks like:
Safe and efficient execution of all lifting and movement operations
Zero damage incidents on high-value equipment
On-time support of critical shipment and movement milestones
Strong coordination with logistics and program teams
Clean, compliant, and audit-ready shipment documentation
