Key Research Areas:</strong> Research interests should ideally align with areas such as:</li> <ul> <li>Utilizing <strong>Electronic Health Records (EHRs)</strong> and non-clinical data (e.g., social media) for modeling and predicting health behaviors and outcomes.</li> <li><strong>Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multi-modal AI</strong>, and <strong>Large Language Models (LLMs)</strong> for processing patient data, understanding clinical outcomes, and ensuring safety, helpfulness and factuality in medical chatbots.</li> <li>Developing <strong>prediction models</strong> for clinical issues (e.g., anti-cancer medication discontinuation, velopharyngeal dysfunction, breast cancer).</li> <li>Addressing issues of <strong>bias and fairness in AI</strong> within healthcare.</li> <li>and <strong>deep genomics</strong>.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Engage in collaborative research and development with engineers at Scale AI.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics, or a closely related quantitative field.</li> <li>Demonstrated excellence in research with a focus on <strong>Machine Learning and NLP applications in Healthcare</strong>, evidenced by high-impact publications and/or significant grant funding.</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong><em>PLEASE NOTE: </em></strong><em>Our policy requires a 90-day waiting period before reconsidering candidates for the same role.
